Chocolate Cheese Banana
Ingredients:
- 1 comb of ripe bananas
- 10 tbsp wheat flour
- 5 tbsp rice flour
- 1 chocolate bar
- Grated cheddar cheese to taste
- Pinch of salt
- 1 sweetened condensed milk sachet
- 1/4 kg breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup ice water
- 1/2 tsp vanilla (optional)
- Oil for frying
How to make:
- Peel and slice the bananas lengthwise.
- Make the batter by mixing flours, salt, vanilla, and water until thick.
- Dip banana slices in batter, coat with breadcrumbs, then fry until golden brown.
- Serve with chocolate shavings, milk, and grated cheese.
- Store leftovers in the freezer and refry when needed.
Cimin
Ingredients:
- 10 tbsp tapioca flour
- 2 tbsp wheat flour
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- Chopped green onion
- Salt and flavoring to taste
- Hot water
- Oil for frying
- Chili powder & seasonings (optional)
How to make:
- Mix flours, garlic, green onion, and seasoning.
- Pour in hot water gradually, stir until dough can be shaped.
- Shape into small balls, steam for 10–15 minutes.
- Fry the cimin until crispy.
- Sprinkle with chili powder or seasonings as desired.
Batagor
Ingredients:
- 300g mackerel fish (or tofu for vegetarian)
- 10 tbsp tapioca flour
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Tofu and dumpling wrappers
- Oil for frying
- Peanut sauce & sweet soy sauce
How to make:
- Blend fish, garlic, egg, seasoning until smooth.
- Mix in tapioca flour, stir well.
- Fill tofu or dumpling wrappers with the mixture.
- Fry until golden brown.
- Serve with peanut sauce and a splash of sweet soy sauce.
Seblak
Ingredients:
- Raw crackers (soaked until soft)
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp chili paste (or to taste)
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 shallots
- Sweet soy sauce, salt, pepper to taste
- Sausage, meatballs, or toppings as desired
How to make:
- Grind garlic, shallots, and chili into a paste.
- Sauté the paste until fragrant, add eggs and scramble.
- Add soaked crackers and toppings.
- Season with salt, soy sauce, and pepper.
- Stir and cook until flavors combine. Serve hot.
